What is Naturopathy?
As a Naturopath I integrate natural healing methods and up-to-date scientific research to address the underlying cause of your current health concerns.
I understand that we are all unique and there is no 'one size fits all' approach when it comes to health. Our personal history, lifestyle, environment, genetics, diet and thoughts all make us unique, and I take that into consideration when asessing your health. I aim to understand my clients on all levels and to create tailor made plans specifically for them.
As a clinical naturopath, herbalist and nutritionist I am educated in science-based nutrition, biochemistry, herbalism, pharmacology, anatamoy and physiology. I apply this knowledge with dietary recommendations, lifestyle practices, herbal formulas, supplementation, clinical and naturopathic testing.
Naturopathy can benefit anyone wanting a natural solution to an acute or chronic health condition. This includes but is not limited to:
Digestive disorders including irritable bowel, food intolerance, inflammatory bowel disorders, constipation/diarrhea, parasites, indigestion, heartburn and bloating

Reproductive System: Infertility, PMS, problems with menstruation, fibroid/endometriosis, PCOS, perimenopause/menopause
Skin Conditions: acne, eczema, rosacea, psoriasis.
Immune System: Low immunity, chronic fatigue syndrome, autoimmunity, shingles, recurring infection, seasonal allergies
Nervous sytem: Anxiety, depression, fibromyalgia, sleep disturbances/insomnia, low energy levels, stress.

Not everyone needs functional testing when they see a Naturopath. However, functional testing offers a clear picture of the underlying causes for your symptoms, making it easier to address your health concerns.
Too often we see people whose blood tests are within the normal range, but they are still suffering with chronic symptoms. Generally, abnormalities do not appear in common tests until your disease or dysfunction has caused significant damage. By why wait until the damage has been done? Functional lab testing aims to prevent disease before it happens by identifying and assessing patterns of imbalance in the body, which without intervention, may yield chronic health concerns.
